Western Elegance in the High Desert

Emma and Thomas have been courting since high school, and a few months ago they got engaged right here at this very spot. We returned to Abiquiu to photograph their engagement session—this time trading their usual hiking clothes for white dress clothes and well-worn cowboy boots. As they wandered through the sandstone formations, storm clouds drifted in, creating soft, moody light and dramatic skies.
