Highlights from this year's most magical season
Roasting chile, golden aspens, balloon-filled skies. Autumn is truly magical in Northern New Mexico, and this season was one for the books. Here are my favorite moments and images from the family sessions that made the 2024 fall season so beautiful.
Among the aspens
Spending time in the beauty of golden aspen groves is one of the highlights of the season. Thousands of tourists flock to the Rockies to witness the spectacular change of season.
But this year, there were a few road blocks...literally. Due to a repaving project on the road to Ski Santa Fe, I had to limit my Aspen Vista sessions and explore some new locations in Los Alamos and beyond. All in all, I'm very happy to have found some beautiful new spots with brilliant foliage.

The 52nd Annual Balloon Fiesta
One of my favorite events to shoot is the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. At dawn during the second week of October, hundreds of balloons fill the skies, creating a unique and magical backdrop for locals and visitors from all over the world. My "Mass Ascension" photography package books early, so reach out now about Balloon Fiesta 2025.

Earthy Edits & rich mattes
Indeed, autumn is a special time of year, especially here in New Mexico, when the earthiness of places like the Galisteo Basin and the Randall Davey Audubon Center creates a nostalgiac depth to imagery. In order to accentuate these earthy tones, I worked with warm hues, matte finishes, and glowing skin.
Adding my first cake smash to the portfolio was fun, and I feel more prepared to do this in the future both outdoors and in my new studio. (Blog post on that coming soon!)
These are some of my favorite images from the season, and I'm so grateful that, once again, so many of you chose to give me the opportunity to document these moments with your children.
Please reach out soon about 2025 fall images, as my calendar books up weeks, sometimes months, in advance.
