Northern New Mexico Engagement Session
When Andina reached out about her engagement session idea, I was speechless. Her cousin had acquired the property where Ra Paulette's famous "Tree of Life" caves reside, and she was granted exclusive access and permission to have her photographs taken with her fiancé Randall. So, imagine my delight when she chose me to be their photographer! It was the perfect setting for these two travelers, who met while Andina was roadtripping across the U.S.
We met on a moody May morning after storms forced us to reschedule. Sunlight poured into the three skylights that illuminate Paulette's carved masterpiece. Sadly, some people have chosen to trespass on the property, going so far as to break one of the skylights, which has caused some water damage to one area. Others have defaced the delicate sandstone. The new owners hope to make this a destination elopement and photography site, so please be patient and DO NOT TRESPASS while they establish the necessary infrastructure to host guests. In the meantime, here's a little tour of one of the most magical Northern New Mexico engagement locations I've had the pleasure of shooting.

After spending some time exploring the caves, we took advantage of the cloudy skies and the breathtaking landscape surrounding the property. Andina and Randall are adventurous and also love exploring, so we climbed rocks, walked the road, and picked some wildflowers. Also, Andina's second dress is a For Love and Lemons favorite that is available for clients to borrow.
