Nambe Badlands Engagement Session

Just north of Santa Fe, the Nambe Badlands offer some of the most iconic landscapes in Northern New Mexico. With sweeping desert vistas, rugged sandstone formations, and distant mountain views, it's an incredible location for couples looking to capture the beauty of the Southwest.

I met Julia and Tyler, visiting from Philadelphia, on a quiet, overcast evening. The clouds gave us diffused, soft light as we wandered the Badlands trails. The dramatic terrain and expansive skies created a timeless New Mexico backdrop for their engagement photos.

Near sunset, the clouds briefly parted and warm sunlight spilled across the Jemez mountains, adding the perfect finishing touch to an already beautiful evening. Between the sweeping landscapes, classic Santa Fe scenery, and the genuine connection these two share, this session was a wonderful reminder that the best engagement photos are rooted in both place and relationship.
